This is a great looking Houston, Texas. Police Dept commemorative challenge coin. Coin is about 1 9/16" in diameter, beautifully illustrated on both sides with a reeded edge. Reverse side has St. Michael the Protector, Patron Saint of Police and the words "In God We Trust". Coin is contained in an acrylic air tight holder. The Houston Police Department (HPD) is the primary law enforcement agency serving the City of Houston, Texas and some surrounding areas. Its headquarters are at 1200 Travis in downtown Houston. HPD's jurisdiction often overlaps with several other law enforcement agencies, among them the Harris County Sheriff's Office and the Harris County Constable Precincts. HPD is the largest municipal police department in Texas.
